Moved here from bow a year ago,
Its a delight and a walk along the coast from Chalkwell to old leigh beats a sunday in the little driver hands down.
Plenty pubs, good size houses, far enough away from southend, fenchurch st 50 mins, west ham 30 odd mins,

Kingston is a decent part of London, Bushy Park is grand of course and so is Richmond Park.
Definitely not a shithole but the aeroplanes constantly overhead going into Heathrow would ruin it for me.
